This year, the show will run September 23-26 and all kinds of boats from 60-foot motor yachtscenter consoles and saltwater fishing boats, to tow boats, will be on display. Boat shows remain the number one place to shop and compare multiple brands and boat types all in one location. Not to mention, the show is one of the best places to get completely immersed in the boating lifestyle—from free education opportunities for new and experienced boaters alike to browsing hundreds of the latest boating accessories.

There’s so much to see and do that you’ll have no trouble filling the whole weekend, so let’s look at a way you can participate and learn lots over the four days of the show —and maybe even explore the city as well.

4 Reasons Why Boat Shows are ‘Can’t Miss’ in 2021-2022

Things to Do at the Show

From free boat rides for the entire family, to lighthouse tours and daily boating seminars, you’ll want to plan ahead so you can do it all. Be sure to check out the full list of Show Features, but in the meantime, here are a few other show highlights to explore:

Goose Hummock Seminar Series

A renown northeast saltwater fishing outfitter, Goose Hummock will be hosting seminars with pros demonstrating casting in a 30-foot fishing tank as well as discussing gear and services. Also, all ages can check out the fully equipped 42-foot Contender sportfisher at the docks.

Annapolis School of Seamanship (ASOS) On-Water Training

Hands-on instruction will be provided by experts to build your confidence at the helm. No experience necessary.

Try It Cove

Do you want to test your skills on a stand-up paddle boarding or try a new kayak? Outdoor Sports Center will be on hand with equipment and instruction, and you may just walk away with a new hobby as well as new gear.

Activities for the Kiddos

If your kids are too little for a SUP, they can still go paddling on a mini-lake created just for them. You can also sign them up for a toy boat-building class and the best part is that they can take their creation home afterward.

Water Club Lounge, Presented by Montauk Distilling Co.

Shopping for accessories, making the best deal on a new boat, or learning a new skill are hard work so when it’s time to eat, drink and relax, kick back the waterfront Water Club tented lounge. They’ll be serving up specialty cocktails all weekend long.

Dining options include The Galley Waterfront Café and The Sunset Grille on the marina property, or stretch your legs and visit East Norwalk for options like Harbor Lights, Overton’s Seafood, Valentino’s and more.

Shoppers will also love The Nautical Boutique that caters to the beach lover and has fun gifts and décor items for your boat, home or lake house.
